I know, however, that the man's voice I heard say, "Hello!" at the top of the stairs at Portsmouth Harbor Light wasn't creaking. Maybe there's another explanation, but I haven't figured it out.<br /><br />The bottom line for me regarding ghosts is, "I don't know." I think because of the history that surrounds these buildings and because of their age people like to think they are hunted and I suspect ones like this one creak a bit.
