Nubble Light on a Blustery Day

I shot this video of the Cape Neddick "Nubble" Lighthouse yesterday. It was extremely windy and the seas were churned up. The Nubble is always beautiful, regardless of the conditions.

  1. Jeremy, I guess I've been spoiled by the storms and waves on Lake Michigan. Relative to some of what I've seen and photographed on Lake M, Nubble was pretty tame in that video.

  2. I wouldn't argue with that! I'm not saying that this was especially spectacular or anything; I was just having fun with my nifty new pocket camcorder. For high seas, see my pic of Whaleback Light during a 2007 storm at http://www.flickr.com/photos/nelights/3386965055/in/set-72157615281721103/

  3. By all means, Jeremy, have fun with the pocket camcorder. I would suspect that most people wouldn't take high end cameras out into the weather the way that I have to photograph in storms. Now, if I can just find a way to get into the eye of a hurricane again to photograph the eyewall looking up... I've been in the eye of one hurricane... something that I just have to do again... sort of like going around Cape Horn. Something else that I AM going to do again!
