Cape Cod, Dreyfuss shine in "The Lightkeepers"

The new movie "The Lightkeepers," directed by Daniel Adams and starring Richard Dreyfuss as a Cape Cod lighthouse keeper, has gotten a positive review in the Barnstable Patriot. The film opens nationally in March; for now, you can see it at the Cape Cinema in Dennis, Mass.

Richard Dreyfuss made an appearance at the cinema on December 27 -- you can read about it here.

  1. If it weren't so far away I'd love to go see it! Hopefully it will be playing in this area when it goes out for nationwide release.

Is Dennis MA around where it was filmed?

  2. It was filmed largely at Race Point Lighthouse in Provincetown. Because that lighthouse has a modern lens, they shot some scenes at the Atwood House, the museum of the Chatham Historical Society, inside the old lantern from Chatham Light that's now on display on the grounds with an old Fresnel lens inside.

I don't know where the rest of it was shot, but I believe most, if not all, of the exteriors were shot on Cape Cod.
