Parking your car possibly, but not the lighthouse itself.
The lighthouse tower is not open to the public. The fee would be for parking. There's already a $2 per person charge to visit the museum in the keeper's house. The small parking fee seems reasonable to me. It will affect me because I bring my van tours there, but I'm OK with it.
Its a shame the lighthouse isn't open to the public, but at least the grounds are. I guess they need to have the money to keep the museum going. Thanks for sharing the video and the lovely pictures, happy new year to you:)
A couple of bucks for parking or whatever will kill no one visiting there. Maintenance and staffing costs money and that is a fair way to raise the money.
