Should admission be charged at Portland Head Light?

  1. Parking your car possibly, but not the lighthouse itself.

  2. The lighthouse tower is not open to the public. The fee would be for parking. There's already a $2 per person charge to visit the museum in the keeper's house.

The small parking fee seems reasonable to me. It will affect me because I bring my van tours there, but I'm OK with it.

  3. Its a shame the lighthouse isn't open to the public, but at least the grounds are. I guess they need to have the money to keep the museum going. Thanks for sharing the video and the lovely pictures, happy new year to you:)

  4. A couple of bucks for parking or whatever will kill no one visiting there. Maintenance and staffing costs money and that is a fair way to raise the money.
